Welcome! My name is Mrs. Alicen Balius, and I am so excited you are here!
Education:
I grew up and graduated high school right here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the small town of Long Beach. I then went on to graduate from The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) in 2015 with my Bachelor Degree in elementary education (k-6) with an endorsement in English (6-12). I recently started classes through USM again for my Master of Elementary Education Degree.
Experience:
This will be my sixth year teaching 2nd grade here at West Elementary. My main goal is to make learning engaging and meaningful for all students. I can't wait to use all of my research and knowledge gained from my masters classes to GROW with you this year!
